Any time bud, I put an InvisaSheild protector on my LifeProof case & it was much easier then just putting it on a phone cause it can be done under water. Glad I did too cause I noticed there is a long scratch across the protector screen now but not going to change it until it gets much worse.

Hey!

Although admittedly it was my own stupidity. I was sitting on the couch with my feet up on the coffee table resting/balancing the iPad on a pillow on my tummy with my legs/knees helping to prop it up when I stretched out one of my legs causing the iPad to fall forward and hit my lip.

I was the only one in the vehicle, was raining hard and a changed lanes to avoid a dear, started to hydroplane, hit a barrier and rolled 9 times

Only injuries were concussion, dislocated shoulder(done it enough times that it doesn't hurt much) a broken nose, and some road rash

Worst part of it all was I ripped my favorite pants:(

Agreed, the road I live on is real bad for coyotes and deer. Ill slow down but I won't swerve unless I'm driving my awd and its dry

Noticed some sps is rtning and I haven't been able to get my skimmer back online since treating for cyano 4 weeks ago. I am just tired and have cranky sniffly twins to boot.

Exactly!! I try & stay away from the meds as much as possible but it's hard somedays. All caused by getting rear ended in 07 by a idiot doing 100km / hr while I was doing 20km. If it wasn't for my welding skid chances are I would have been crippled or killed.

Man that's rough. Doesn't help as we age either. In 91/92 my old man was run over buy a big front end loader. Operator was drunk. Off work and in/out hospital for 2 years. Never be the same.

I was having a dream that I was in a saltwater fish store and they had these super cool never seen before inverts that were small like and coloured the same as sexy shrimp but were shaped like deer. I was going to buy one and was searching on my iPhone for more info on them (was thinking of buying 3 if they were ok in groups) when I woke up and realized it was just a dream :sad:

also, I'm glad you're OK (mostly) ! I had a close call the other day too. I was having troubles unclipping at a stop light and nearly fell over. That probably would have hurt my ego more than anything else though.

Maybe instead of having trained medical professional responding to 911 calls while under staffed and less then ideal working conditions start sending Taxi's and Bus Drivers... But Yay for Alberta and AHS having a 100M Surplus this year and giving all the higher ups huge bonuses but still cutting Nursing positions and not filling Emergency Services staffing needs and providing any incentive for anyone to remain in the industry EMS wise.

No worries dude, I really don't want to see you pay check but bottom line is EMTs make more than bus drivers, that's all I was pointing out. Not trying to debate political garbage that I really don't care about. We can all compare our salaries to a lot of people and quickly become frustrated with the assumption we're under paid. All this information is published and we all make our own beds.

Also my understanding is most EMTs are just technicians and not actual paramedics and there's big difference between the two which could explain why EMT starting wages aren't great. :biggrin:

That's the age ladies are trying to make a name for themselves. Worked with one associate that was sleeping her way up the corporate ladder and she spared no one in her way, especially wives. She was all about image, needless to say, she didn't last long. I also have a neighbor who is exactly as you describe, judges everyone in our culdesac and thinks he sets a bar of standards we should all strive to meet. It's because people now a days are greedy and want to get all they can for things these days instead of trying to insure something that they have cultivated from there original purchase lives on else where just in case there's dies or melts. I only know of a couple other people who have given frags to others for cheap or even free to keep going in a different tank.

Personally I think its a bit of a joke, ya sure you paid a high price for a few heads but once they grow to a nice colony and you can frag off a few dont expect me to pay threw the arse for them.

While i cant say for sure as its daves call but i dont think concept is going to sponsor anymore, fees have jumped alot and its not just us i know of three other stores who will ne doing the same thing.

Just rumor of course untill dave decides bit it looks like were out

Curious why the increase, and why so much. If this many places are dropping it had to be a pretty big hike.

Im sure canreef has its reasons i doubt titus would make a raise like this for nothing but for us its too high and umfortunately leaving us no choice but to decline.

We will see what happens but were trying to find reasons to stay and to justify the over %50 increase in fees:)

Sad part is this can make or break the forum. Without income there no reason for Titus to keep it going and really I love this forum. I've met so many great people and learned so much. I hope it balances out

Has anyone else noticed the drop in mods as well? When i started with canreef all the mods were active now its just brad i feel bad he does an amazing job and hes the guy holding this site together.

I can see Facebook sites taking over pretty quick it's only gonna take one in Calgery and a few in bc.

A Facebook site just isn't the same as a forum. For exposure of the company and their wares, sure. But for hobbyists, not even close. I am not privy to all the background workings of the forum but it is definitely a loss for the community whenever we lose a vendor.

Still the three of us here, but Tony has some stuff in life going on, and Christy just had her second little one, so she's tied up elsewhere for the most part. Both still manage items behind the scenes, but I just have more computer time. Doug has helped for years, but a recent events have pulled him away. Ryan, no idea. I think he's been abducted by aliens.
I had actually decided to pick you, Denny, as my replacement, but then you joined Dave and a conflict arose. Keener is part time on some forums, but he's too smart to take my job :)
As for the business side of things, while some are leaving, new ones are coming on board. It's always been that way. I have no idea what the rates are, I didn't know they went up, and I haven't heard any reasons for changes. We'll have to wait and see how things go. I know for Titus, this is simply a business, and if it fails to earn him a profit, I'd imagine he'd shut down or sell.

It's also harder to manage. Oceanic did that, but without frequent updates/management, the following drifts off. I haven't even thought "Oceanic" unless he gets mentioned on the board. To really get the most out of it, you need a social media director. Which will typically be the owner, after all the other stuff gets done in a day.

I also think its the stores fault, some of them were just waisting there membership fees, as some of them would never advertise anything or post pictures of orders. I do lots of group buys to non member stores and the onley reason is I cant get the pieces I want in town even after a few of us ask for stuff to be brought in. Can-reef has lots of potential it's just stores don't use it.

I figured they had some life things happening I know Christy use to be very active but I heard she had a little one too:)

There has been a decent spike in sponsorship fees which has led to a few sponsors dropping out, for concept I'm fighting with Dave to keep us here I do believe I can justify the use for canreef as a retailer but would help for sure if we knew why there was a rise, the pm myself and Dave got had no explanation.

I do hope this doesn't change canreef but its sad to see so many drop out in the same time frame, I know there will always be more sponsors but some of the ones we had were there for years.
