how many brs orders can one person do in a year to get enough brs reward points to purchase what they want for free... just sayin glad to have got into a couple orders but one a month is a bit rediculous imo.lol

Lesson learned ....
I tried to modify a Ranco controller
The instructions state to not try to solder wires to the main board. Well, I'm stubborn.
I tried, and it failed.
I figured that I know enough about mainboards and wiring and such, having some knowledge with wiring, I figured I'd take a stab at it.
I have no idea what went wrong, and I did not heat the board up too much, so, now I have a dead controller for sale
I just ordered a new one online with a bulb well.
I spent $50 on this one, then spent $40 to have a new sensor shipped with a thermal well on it, now I cooked the board.
Wheeeee
Nothing like throwing money away :frusty:

I ask if that was the pump he had put on me desk... he said ya it's crap... I told him it was full of crap and to take better care of his equipment... while pointing at the bucket... i said "you're welcome"... and then had to explain how it works and how to clean it!!! some times i love having the upper hand!!! lol!

My wife was pretty good once she figured out she had to eat something ASAP when she got up in the morning. Actually i think the trick was to try to keep some food in your stomach at all times. If you feel 'hungry' it may be too late.
It may not work for everyone but it did help a lot for my wife.
P.S. Congrats by the way.
Just asked her actually and she mentioned that she would have breakfast as soon as she woke up then a 2nd breakfast once she got to work. She also had little snacks frequently during the day between regular meals.
My wife said, Ginerale and crackers (duhh...) also peppermint was a good one like teas and peppermints and things helped.

Alberta government is a freakin joke. Upcoming election and would love to see the PC booted, but the wildrose are a bunch of rascists. I think I should run the province and give policies a complete overhaul. ARGH
I say this as I've been dealing with one department for years and have gotten nothing but a run around, zero accountability with anyone. Have been battling hard for 2 years now and no resolution or even attempts to get it right. There are so many departments of the government that are a complete waste of taxpayers money and cause so many of our social issues, further burdening tax payers.

Does anyone else get the feeling the insurance industry was born from the mind of one of the greatest entrepreneuring con artists of all time?
I used to think the same way, but my father-in-law and now my wife are with London Life. My sister-in-law was diagnosed Boxing Day 2011 with breast cancer but fortunately she had critical illness insurance. Highly recommend this. Unlike other policies, you don't have to "DIE" to collect. She was diagnosed and within a couple of weeks, received a cheque tax free for $200,000. Paid off a small mortgage she had and enough to live on for the year she is in treatment and recovery.

Au contraire, I have and not ashamed to say I made it worth my time. I'm sure when I die beyond my policy term they will be jumping for joy.
This is why I HATE Term Life Insurance. Several people I know paid lots into the term insurance, but they kept raising rates as you age and then bam, you can't afford it and your insurance is null and void when you die and your family and friends have to pick up your tab for the funeral (happened to a couple friends of mine).
That's why we all have 20 pay in our family. You pay for 20 years, you have dividends and after 20 years, still covered, your dividends grow & you don't ever have to pay another penny in premiums. We got one for each of our little girls as well so that by the time they are in university, the policy will be paid for and they will be covered for life. If they never cash out, their retirement fund will also be filled by the dividends collecting interest for 60+ years. And the younger we start their policies at, the more bang for the buck.
So 20 Pay and Critical Illness are the only "life" insurance policies I would ever recommmend. I hate the idea of term life because every 5-10 years your premiums get jacked up because their hoping you quit paying and then they keep all your money and you never see a cent.

Too many times lately we have had this happen in our circles.
People, you must get yourself some insurance. Regardless of your familial situation, it's the best you can do for your loves-ones.

I love Jamaica!
It's not a holiday like most others though. Me and my wife are pretty adventurous and like to head in to the areas where the locals go to get the full experience but Jamaica isn't one of those places. We did leave the resort a couple times but it's simply not safe to do so and it felt that way.
Enjoy the resorts and excursions they are amazing!
The diving is incedible, many wrecks to see depending on what part you are heading to.

The hospital needs some upgrades. And you must check all weapons at the door, assuming they have room in the weapons drawer. Seriously :)
We spent 24hrs in hospital in Montego Bay, emergency, specialists, xrays, blood work, meds and a night in the wards, total, $178 US. The bill was manageable :)

Seriously, walking is a great labor starter. My family has a history of being 10-14 days overdue with all the babies but I went into labor the day of my due date because I walked at least an hour everyday throughout my pregnancy. Wow What a fun day it was, 3 - 5 hr shifts at hospital. Would just get back home and settled and it would fire right back up. Drugs that they give you to take home just didn't cut it. Got to know the nurses and doc pretty well.
2nd trip took 20 mgs of morphine and another antiinflamitory to put me too sleep.
I now have a deeper (much deeper) respect for women in labor. I'm told that they are similar experiences. But when you scale it down I still think I would rather have kidney stones..

well today was the day to let him have it now that i have a better job starting tomorrow for more pay and better professionalism i told him this morning i quit,i finally got to say what ive wanted to say for month which is...almost word for word
" your a deadbeat drunk, you work 1 day a week, your family has gone to ****, your not a business man and you rely on your workers to make your company money cause you drink all day...
the company we subcontract off has offered to steal me away...why?? simply because im there 6 days a week past supper everyday and at the site at 7am.....the company is not stupid they know you drink during work hours...we can all smell it were not stupid...they know its me and my partner doing all the work.
they played it smart and hired us .......and you????.....well your gone buddy back to the bar or where ever you spend your daylight hours the company doesnt want your service, it finds it unprofessional and so do i.
it felt good as ive wanted to say this for months , but couldnt afford to do so during the winter.....now its the busy season.....you should have had your priorities straight , now you lost all your workers who are coming with me, youve lost your contract which i now have....
today life takes a new turn as my hard work has payed off and has been recognized by the contractor we get work from....haha :P
at first he didnt believe me about taking his contract......then igot a phone call from him....to say the leats he wasnt pleased.....but you know what.....you make your own bed bud...lay in it:)
oh and i was smart and got all my pay up front yesterday lol not giving another scammer/drunk a chance to scam me again:):)

oh buddy it so does ,ive been biting my tongue for sooooo long, been chatting with the contractor and we are both on the same page about what they want and what i want.....they are a very big company and they dont want alcohol or drugs anywhere near their site and lets face it i dont want to work for someone like that or be affliated with anyone like that, so the company and i have been chatting privately and today we made the decision to let "my boss" go and we will now start a project for them tomorrw.
they wanted him gone so bad that they went and bought me and my partner all new equipment( around 4grand) and said we can pay it off over time.
now without the middle man taking his drinking cut i have a pay raise and new equipment plus me and my roomate bought a truck to keep with the spirits of "professional"

To be honest with you I'm not super thrilled to be going back to those sleepless nights (sorry Nano and Paddyob), I just hope this one is the polar opposite of my son when he was a newborn. Meaning that this one will actually sleep, eat and not cry 24/7 with colic. That would be great!

Had the same thing happen, it was a red sea max and he jumped through the 1/2" gap at the top to land in the back compartment. He did it 3 times in the first week then I found him in the electical compartment a couple days later...he was on a suicide mission!

When my son called up from the basement saying there was a fish on the floor I didn't have to guess twice on which one... When I released him into the tank see spent about a minute swimming back and forth along the glass at the top of the tank, I knew this was not a good sign...

My wife just asked me to show her a photo spread of all the critters I want in our new 75g
Hmmm, I hadn't had much of a plan, but of course I want to do it right
I want a mixed reef with, of course, a nem and a clown or 2, one clown is ok, but I like both the orange and the black ones. A Picasso would be Really nice.

I know the feeling. Holding your newborn (or even when they are almost 4), there's no better feeling.
Before Felicia was born, Irene wanted me to shut down all my tanks to make more room (and money) for the baby. I made her a deal that if the new baby didn't like fish/corals, I would consider it. Hahahaha. Safest bet in the world. Both my girls love to look at the fish and corals.
Enjoy this time my friend.

Just kidding of course. My son didn't sleep through the night until 18 months. I'm pretty sure I could survive a zombie apocalypse easily after dealing with that sh*t.
I have a girlfriend who's 3 year old still won't sleep through the night. She said he's made it through the night twice. In 3 years. OMG...
It's actually quite amazing how sleep deprevation affects you. After long periods wihtout sleep the symptoms you experience can mimic those who are addicts looking for their next fix and in some cases people who are intoxicated, loss of balance, poor problem solving skills, poor cognitive function, etc.
Here in Alberta when we do the daylight savings time the "spring ahead" - where we lose an hour of sleep the suicide rates go up. The "fall back" - where we gain an extra hour - risk of heart attack decreases dramatically.
