its snowing here now but i have the sidewalks cleared enough that one run over with the snowblower and ill be good. i may rent an appliance mover and drag it in with my fathers help or a winch dont really much care i just need it in here to remove the broken glass and clean the area for re-installation.

the sooner i get it back together the less chance i do something dumb and break it.. maybe

Smoking was a total stress reliever for me too....3 kids- 6 yr old boy/ 11 yr old girl/ 14yr old boy who is also a type1 diabetic. I smoked outside as long as I've had kids. Since my hubby quit I pretty much only smoked half a smoke at a time. I literally gagged on a regular basis smoking, especially the last 1-2 yrs. I did a fair bit of surfing at whyquit.com. I have drank copious amounts of cranberry juice too. All in all I'm feeling pretty good... Don't get me wrong I have had craves....BUT!!! The key is " I DON'T SMOKE ANYMORE!!"

i started sealing the tank went to open the extra silicone i bought and turns out i bought white instead of clear. had to run to the store to get clear and got back soon enough that it hadnt set yet which was o but i forgot to pullthe tape in the areas i had already done thus had to cut all the tape from under silicone some areas got messed up a bit i will wait untill tomorrow evening to decide if i have to do over or not.

I've never had any Photobucket issues ... what do I have to look forward to ?

photobucket says i have to download adobe fash to upload multiple pictures.... so i uploaded it .. 4 times and still wont work.. im seriously not having a good day... and if i wasnt on cold medication /pain killers id be drinking tonight.

Well as far as the Photobucket thing goes, I've never had Flash Player bother me, so I can't say what's up with yours.
About the silly-cone ... I'm ANAL about silicone and I'd start over in your shoes.
When I silicone, and I was tonight with my sump re-configure, I scrape all stuff off, windex, then 99% Isopropyl Alcohol ( or 50% if you have it ) to clean up all the greasy guck.
Only when the glass squeaks with a cloth am I ready to go. If it glides over it, there's still something that needs to be removed.
Like I said, I'm ANAL about silicone.
Plus, I think I have a touch of OCD, so it's good in my case as things get really clean  Did I wash that Dolphin, yes I did, so I can put him in the tank with the Penguin ... oops, I forgot to wash the Dolphin ... Yes ................. I am going mad
I'm blaming it on the fumes from the sillycone

Ive never done a big frag order, but I have done a large frag swap/BBQ..... well a couple actually, but the big one was about 20 people.....I remember it being stressful.....mainly because I was in a small house at the time and was counting on good weather so the majority of the people could be outside.....as it turned out I stressed for nothing....it ended up being 30 degrees that day.... but it was a lot of work

I've organized several group buys in the past or just had them shipped to me since I work at home. Yes, way more work than most people realize. My biggest one was for almost $7000 worth of RODI units and my entire front area/living room was filled to the top with boxes of filters, resin, tanks, and units. It took a couple of days at least for people to slowly come by to pick them up and my wife was not pleased at how big a space everything took up. The crazy part is I didn't even place an order. I was only doing it cause a friend asked me to and then it seemed like every local reefer decided to jump in as well.

not 100% sure. I'm thinking so. I added the recommended amount, but thats to buffer the CA to 440-460 now if my CA was only slightly low, say 400 it wouldnt have been so harsh, but with it down in the mid to low 300's its a big jump overnight. anyhow no more dosing for me for a while. :frusty::frusty::frusty::frusty: My yasha jumped out of my 34g over the weekend when I was in Calgary which prompted me to start to put egg create over my tanks. I got it over my 80g, got half the 230g fowlr tank covered (the half that always seems to have lots of water splashes over the side of it) then got to tired yesterday to finish.

Feed the fowlr tank around 9:30pm tonight and my pink fairy wrasse was in it. The same pink fairy wrasse......who was almost killed by my mexican rainbow wrasse (he constantly picked on the mexican rainbow until the rainbow realized he was bigger and beat the crap out of him) but somehow he survived it and went on to make a miracle recovery......only to jump out of the tank tonight!!!!!! I've had him for about 2yrs and even when the rainbow was chasing him like crazy and almost killed him he never jumped then. When he was getting beat up I tried in vain to catch him out of the 230g but was unsuccessful, then he made a full recovery and in the past 2 months things seemed to have settled down and they seemed to be getting along ok. Finally put some egg create over half the tank and he jumps???? WTF??????

I fell asleep on the couch shortly after feeding the tanks around 9:30pm. Around 10:30 my dog Bailey started barking which was odd as my big dog rarely barks, but I was asleep on the couch and was to tired to think of why she was barking. When I finally got off the couch to go to bed (around 11:15) I found him on the carpet steps a level up from the fish tanks  He was dried up and pretty dead looking (and I'm guessing the cat batted him around and left the fish on the steps....not sure how else he'd get there) but I tried putting him in the sump anyway, hoping that somehow he'd come back to life, unfortunately he did not and I had to flush him

Super mad at myself for not finishing covering the other half of the tank and for not waking up when Bailey was barking......can't help but wonder if I had of woken up if I would I have been able to find him and save him in time

Did you get your crate to fit well ?
Mine fit so well into my Aqueon I was shocked. All I had to do was file smooth the cut ends. I have a 75g so a left and right piece for me, and a custom one for the overflow box with some bug screen on it. Now I can remove my standpipe strainers for more flow

I can't resist. This is before the screen covering the overflow, and it is now raised above the overflow ( under the full-cover top ) so there's no spillage noise. To the right you see the fit. Just lucky with the crate and an Aqueon I guess

Haha, I'm your opposite! Everyone spells my name wrong too, I quit caring a decade ago.

I spell everyone's name the most common (or most common to me) way such as: Lindsay, Darryl, Matthew, John, Dick (oh I know it is spelled Dyck). I have a reason for this. I deal with a hundred people a day, I'm in a hurry, and I really don't give a crap how you spell your name, or how you pronounce it. If you're a regular, eventually I will remember. ;) I assume that people have this same thought running through their minds if I try to correct their pronunciation or spelling of my name.

Btw, that last paragraph isn't directed at you Lyndsy (how the heck was it spelled again??), it is universal.

I haven't yet heard anyone doing this.
Who else finds this necessary?
Is it because of a lack of flow in such a small-ish tank and the large size of your substrate?

BTW, is that Majano I see on your Zoas? Or are they something else?

Its because i dont have a sump to collect the detrius when it gets stirred up. It just sits under the rock and collects over time which causes problems. and for flow i have about 45 times flow then the volume of water....not bad for a softie and lps tank.

That is not a majano, its a paly....and thats an old pic.

That doesn't sound very healthy for the tank...

Alright let me clarify, i pulled all coral, fish and live rock out nicely so i could get to the crap under the rock....really easy when your tank is only 30 gallons. then i did water changes and reintroduced SLOWLY everything back into the tank. I have done it before and it helps my tank alot since it is sumpless and small.

'member what I said months ago ... We still do it the ol' fashioned way 'round here
"Just thought I'd stop by and collect what's due me, thanks for your time.
I know where you live, and I also know it's made of wood"

That does work on a personal debt but not with companies unfortunately.

Whelp, I just finished using my new Princess Auto-Eject holesaw
So I go buy the saw and it figures the ones they sell have no mandrel. Whatever, I have lots. So I gets home and wouldn't ya know it? I had to go through 4 sets before I find a mandrel that doesn't need it's drill bit cut. Guess what brand it is? No, really, take a guess.

That's right ! POWER FIST http://www.sherv.net/cm/emo/angry/smiley-face-shaking-fist.gif

So I start cutting the first hole that was started with the "Stupid BRS hole saw " and the new saw is smaller. Hmph. Plus, my jig is bigger now. Ah well, a-cutting-we-will-go.
:surprise: The crappy PA saw did a nicer job than the "Stupid BRS hole saw "
For the first time, I had no chip-out.
Who'd-a figured a $10 saw would be better than a $25 one ?
{ end :rant: }

Us poor saps in Canada aren't treated the same as their US consumers, and I'd like to see what the stats are. Why do we need to do all these Group Buys? 'Cause we are Canucks.
Stuff you BRS, I have spent well over $1000.00 with you since Nov 2011 and I have to pay for more shipping ?
They have already received more than 1 e-mail from me on this topic.

OH, was this rhetorical ?
Hahaha, I love BRS ... they are the best with great prices on great products .... I was never here .... shhhuuutuuuppp

Now, Old Mr. Johnson had troubles all his own.
He had a yellow cat, who wouldn't leave his home.
He tried, and he tried to give the cat away.
He gave it to a man going far, far away.

But the cat came back the very next day.
The cat came back. They thought he was a gonner,
But the cat came back. He just couldn't stay away. Meow.

You missed the point.. If you start a group buy and set it up brs gives you 20 bucks worth of brs points I believe to organize the buy as a thank you. So every group buy the op gets 20.00 which is great for them but kinda unfair to the rest of the ppl in the group buy IMO. Don't get me wrong its nice for the organizer as an incentive to hook buyers for them so they don't have to frequent forums. And they do have great price and great service I've saved some cash ordering. I just think they should disperse the reward to all in the group buy as an Incentive.

Just my random thought. It is what it is lol

Receiving from nowhere in particular as my tappy-talkitty-thingy I just bought is broke  And, honestly, filtering through a bad night of crappy build stuff ending in beers .....

I disagree too with the $20 reward to the originator.
There should be a larger reward for the buy as a whole. We all still pay the shipping. 5% for a group order? Come on. Even 10% is, well, insulting.
Lets say anything over $1000 is 10%, $1500 is 15% and so on.
I spent over $400 on my first order with them, paid with PayPal, and nadda for Greg. I still paid dootie to boot.
And I find their shipping on small items to be unfair.
Fine, ship it UPS, but why charge me $18.99 for something that fits in a cigarette box? And then I still have to pay dudie. And they make me wait until the following Friday before they ship as 'they say' it's cheaper'. Ya, maybe cheaper for them, but we still foot the bill, so they profit on our shipping on top of the sale.
No, I'm not bitter
http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQWOkI_IZPsID3r4Vr7tYOgk2jjcszaq Eg-IDQ5Rvc4VNWi_HXN
I think BRS should readjust their shipping costs. It's ridiculous what they charge for small items.
They have not once remembered my large orders when I needed smallers ones.

Of course. Unless you know peoples.
Anyway ...
I wish you the best of luck collecting. I know it's always a bad experience.
Luckily we got away with 'collecting' our stuff from 'his' warehouse after he removed it from ours.
In our 'case', a previous joint owner felt he 'owned' quite a lot of our stuff.
It was removed from our premises, say, during the twilight hours, so to speak.
Some people met with some other people and stuff exchanged hands.
The courts never had a chance to look at what happened.
We got lucky and still kept the business running until the boss retired.
23 years and, well, I guess I should have bought him out.

Good luck with your collections. I hope you get back what you are looking for

I hate that, I even used to have contractors sign contracts when I was in business.. Still got the run around for up to 60 days sometimes, and a few times never got paid, since I was the little man, I couldnt afford the lawyers they could so often times lost out.

You don't need a lawyer. Just sell it to a collection agency, they take a good chunk but you get some money.

I've been seriously condidering a career change lately.

I'd like to own my own business someday. Either that or strike it rich on lotto 6/49 and eat bonbons on my couch all day while watching trashy daytime TV. That seems a bit better. Time to go buy a lottery ticket.
