Default Database Of Aquarium Safe Silicone (Add Your Aquarium Safe Product)

On another forum I had created this topic which was of help. I'll post this topic here so it might help the SW folk.
might be a good sticky on this forum too! (hint hint)

Updated: Started list of 'Death Tank' products. Know of anymore? Drop me a line so I can add it.

I've started this topic in hopes that a neat and organized list be compiled of aquarium safe silicone. Such info is spread all over the internet in many different forums and posts.

When adding your own listing, please include the following:

1. The product name in text form
2, A picture of the tube that shows the name of the product
3. A picture of the product's use area which states 'safe for aquarium use' or of similar
4. A picture of the product's upc

I've mainly asked for pictures as it is more quickly referenced than a text list of names and numbers. However I also asked the products name in text form so that specific brand can still be found with a search.

If you have this information and don't want to post yourself, pm me with pictures and I'll add everything in this one post with credit shown as to who added what products.

Order in times of posted or pm'd with info.
( special note: please take under consideration using a product as a sealant / product as an adhesive and choose the best for your purpose, a tank repair or a full new tank build...a kind reminder by jcdg)
( special note: please avoid anything that says mold resistant or similar)

Products suitable for aquarium use

1. GE 100% Silicon 1 for Windows and Doors (kindly added by jeremoose and Sprucegruve)

important tip on GE Silicon 1 by jcgd
(While GE1 works just fine and is safe, I would personally not use it for an adhesive for assembling aquariums.
Any other use, go for it, but be clear that is is a SEALANT and not an adhesive.
For building aquariums I recommend an adhesive type silicone such as Momentive RVT-108. If you want black try RVT-103.)

1. GE 100% Silicon II for Windows and Doors

And all tho I wouldnt use it again, the ge II window and door sealant was used to build my sump and has been running safely so for about 2 years. Also used on my 30 gallon hex that currently houses breeder clowns. Also for about a year now with zero ill efects. I now use scs1200, mainly because im building larger tanks now and the ge2 just cant hold up.

I should add my tank did not crash. I did however waste 6 months of time and money since the tank severely failed to thrive.

FitoPharmer, that silicon in question is a tried and true product which has been used widely by hobbyists. I've never heard on any forum or from any contact that GE I silicone causing any problems for anyone. Why it's #1 on the list, safe to use and easy to find for purchase.

Reef Puffer, I'm glad you have had no ill effects if it was the GE !! however that product is associated with problems due to the additives in that silicone and is widely documented on it's negative effects. If you haven't had problems, i'm quite happy since it's killed many other tanks...count yourself lucky.

It's believed that GE I had it's formula changed recently and has been blamed for several problems. I recall someone contacted GE and confirmed this.

I thought the exact same thing when I purchased it. I had used it before several times with great success. But I can say the thread I initially linked to was posted for a reason. I remember seeing some threads on RC about this as well. I do not know if it was a single bad batch or product formulation change.

There are several types that are easy to get and say specifically food and or aquariums safe on the label. For the hassle of possibly doing it wrong compared to the slight cost increase of doing it right in the first place, why risk it? It reminds me of people suggesting buying calcium chloride driveway deicer for dosing.
