So I removed the bottom filter in each carriage, and put some blue foam I had leftover. Big difference, now the flow is as how it should be.

But new problem.

Water is seeping out of the heavy duty lids :S I made sure there was no media in the threading, and I also wrapped the threads with 3 layers of Teflon tape. I put some paper towel under each canister, and by the next day the paper towels were both soaked. I've since put each canister in a plastic container, and after a few days, the containers have a noticeable buildup of water.

I screwed them on pretty tight already, but still hand tight.
