Thats where i was going to look. I was going to try to find 1 with the direct drain option so i didnt have to babysit it too.

We have a giant scary loud power sucking dehumidifier right now and I'm looking for other options.

Check out a Humidex........ uses less power then a dehumidifier.

I tried to ask about these at home hardware and the guy wasn't sure if they vented to the outside (which I want) or to the upstairs (which I don't want)

See, that makes sense, the guy was saying it just goes upstairs, but I have sweaty windows up there allready!!

Heat Recovery Ventilation (or something like that). In conjuction with the furnace it expels indoor air out while retaining the heat.
