Default Max Sump Measurement Sizes for the Vertex IN-100

I am looking for info from users as I am trying to stuff this skimmer into a small space.
Does the Vertex IN-100 actually take up all of the advertised 13 x 10 inches?
If I tried to stuff it into a sump box of a smaller size, would it fit if I was to re-configure the pipes?

You need pretty close to that on the base. I'll measure my old sump tomorrow to see what I had

I went & measured my old sump this morning that I had my In-100 in. 11"x11".

I know I had to play with the pipe & pump to make it work, but I did make it work.

I think I had the skimmer before I built the sump, so I was able to check what I could fit before building.

I had a Vertex IN-180 in a 33 gallon...here's a pic

Specs for IN 100 http://www.reefsupplies.ca/canada/ve...-sump-skimmer/

Specs for IN 180 http://www.reefsupplies.ca/canada/ve...-sump-skimmer/

And you might want to look at the BM's, they take up en less space since the pump is inside the skimmer http://www.reefsupplies.ca/canada/bu...-nac6-skimmer/

Thanks for the input everyone. My tank isn't running yet and I want to get this solved first.
I rushed my original post. I have a Skimz 181 and have designed my sump around it. I'm concerned about the future. If/when it craps out, I won't be able to fit any other skimmers in it's place.

Well, I tore the sump apart tonight after re-designing it to fit almost any Skimmer in the future. I'll have 17-1/4 x 11-5/8, minus the plastic trim. So, 16-3/8 x 10-15/16. If I can't fit a future skimmer in there, I'll be surprised.
