Default Skimmer Suggestion

I'd like to hear recommendations for a skimmer for my tank. Total water volume once I do the additions will be in the realm of 350-400gal. I run a faily heavy bio load... close to 20 fish right now, will be more. I refuse to spend a crap load of money on a skimmer... the most that I would like to spend would be about $700.

Suggestions? Thanks

I just bought a reef octopus 5000 in tank rated to 400 gl for $500.00. I'm just setting it up but I had a similar thread going for my tank and the 3000 got the most votes but for a 180 gl tank. As I've got an 80 gl sump, figured a bit more wouldn't hurt...

I bought an Octopus XP-5000 Internal for my tank that I will be setting up shortly. 290g display and another 125g between sump and peripheral tanks. Everything I hear about these is good...I even purchased the auto neck cleaner for it.

Thanks for the replies guys. I was actually thinking about the octopus. Where did you find it for $500? That's definetly what I'm leaning towards. Aren.t the Deltec's quite expensive?

my euroreef skimmer finally died to the point where I don't want to keep McGuyvering it to keep it running. I went and got a Tunze 9011 and am now wondering why the heck I didn't get it to begin with!!! 2 minute setup and it's producing great skim. I suspect its a bit more expensive than other options, but maintenance of it should make up for it...

I think that I'm going to be going with the Deltec SC 2060. It's a little more than what I wanted to spend, but it's supposed to kick some pretty serious butt. Now.... if I can only sell all of my other gear, I'll have a nice little down payment on this new one.
