Default Opinions on RO/DI units

I'm looking into getting one. Probably a 24GPD or 50GPD. Any opinions on brand, size, etc??

TIA
Christy

Yeah, get a bigger one. You'll go nuts waiting for it to make water.

Hey I see AquaSafe in Vancouver has theirs on Ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...category=20684

I bought mine off Ebay and the company went bankrupt. That's okay though, cause they are all basically made the same, standard sizes and stuff.

So I should get a 1000GPD one so I'll have my 10 gallons ready in 15 minutes!

Christy, after you wait a day for a jug of water, you'll see how this comment is pretty accurate!!
I used to have 24gpd and upgraded to a 100gpd. World of difference. I can do a 5g jug in about an hour (or less).
I bought one of the Aquapure (Dave) units from AJ, but they're not selling them anymore. AquaFX has decent prices, I looked at that guy's site in WestVan and didn't think much of the site. I didn't look much further. I suppose all units are comparable

I bought the one off of Ebay by AquaSafe.. So far I like it. The seller was really great. He even called me to help me set it up when I thought I had done something wrong. Also it is the same filter size as the ones you can find at Home Depot. So if he goes bankrupt you can get them there. Although they are way too expensive.

I have a 100 gpd (two 50gpd membrains) Christy, but this fall I am going to buy two 100gpd membrains when i swap them out.. this way I will have 200 gpd.. as far as I am concerned this is one area whare bigger is better. Time is short when you need to do a large water change in a emergency.

So basically you can get whatever size you need and just replace the membranes with a different size (ie buy a 24GPD then change up to a 100GPD)?? I'm new at this so if this is a silly question, answer it anyway
