Default Orange Death?

OK so I am pretty sure i have orange death on a rock in my aquarium. I have had the aquarium running a few years without any recent additions so i am not sure where it came from... Anyways its on the photo in the highlighted areas. I noticed it because its only on top of other algae, orange and looks really flaky. I seem to remember another canreefer may have dealt with OD before? does anybody have info on it?

I have removed the rock which sucks cause its big and has a ton of life in it.

Interesting, I've never heard of orange death before, but I'm guessing it's bad.

Thanks for the replies really appreciate it i couldnt find anything when i searched... anyways i am starting to doubt my original identification. I have been observing the orange in my tank for a couple of months and it doesnt really have the same slimy appearance as the pics, instead its very flakey and hasnt spread much at all. The one thing that had me concerned was that it seems to be growing ON other coraline and doesnt grow on its own.
Anyways I am going to leave it out of the tank for a couple weeks then put it back in.

I dont think that is the dreaded orange death.
It looks like some sort of algae growth.
If you scrape it off, can you still have coraline underneath or does it all come off?

to me, that doesn't look like the pictures that I've seen on RC and in some articles I checked out.

If it starts to spread, you might worry, but that just looks like algae to my inexperienced eye....
