Osaka Aquarium
On a resent trip to Japan I had the opportunity to visit the Osaka Aquarium. Prior to the Georgia Aquarium being build Osaka boasted the largest tank in the world 4,000,000 G. it houses 1 whale shark and 1 huge Manta ray. It is unbelievable.
The entire aquarium is designed in such a cool way. You begin at the surface of the 4M tank and slowly wind you way down to the sand as you circle the tank. On the outside wall are all the other cool tanks. there are no coral tanks but they do have a very cool tropical fish tank. Unfortunately the lighting was very strange on that tank and it was impossible to get a good shot, I think it was lite partially by daylight. so here are some pics |
