Steve,

Indeed very cool. Please share some of your settings. Also how much difference between settings actinics vs. full lighting shots. I'm very impressed with the zoanthid polyp shot very focused shot.

all I did for thoes was set a custom white ballance under the Actinics only.. the shots look exactly like they would if you were here looking in the tank when only the actinics were on.. I took them using a tripod and no flash.. other than that the camera was in auto. If you want to see what the camera is doing you can look at the pictures with a viewer to see the EXIF metadata. for instance there is a freeware program called
cam2pc that will do this. here is what it reports for the pic of the red muchroom

this is on every pic I take.

Hey Steve,

That sounds like super cool software. Never heard of it. Does it work for all pics? If so sounds like a great program to do some learning from. I 'll have to check it out. Thanks for sharing.

Jamie, you can download it at http://www.nabocorp.com/cam2pc/ and it is freeware for non comercial use.

I just checked some pictures I had taken with my old camera and yes it does show the info (the are both fuji, but Iam thinking it will work on most if not all digital amera pics now.)
