Default DIY tank

I considered it for a while, but as I remember pricing out the glass from various outlets, it was almost the same price as a pre-made tank such as one from Bow Valley Aquarium.
P.S. Once upon a time, I had a F.W. 33gal tank let go (@ 3 a.m. and I was @ my girlfriends house!!) It was lucky someone was home to relay the news to me. I only had to replace about 25 sq. feet of the ceiling below...

Eposer has made several tanks, large and small. He would probably be one of the more experienced on this board.

I have wondered in the past if Bow Valley Aquarium/Inter-American would be willing to build a tank in place... ie. right in your basement.

If you build a tank in the place where it will reside, what happens if you want to move? I know a guy who had a pool table built in his basement that can't be removed now as it is too big. They would have to higher a pro pool tabel builder to disassemble it should they ever move.

You leave it behind. Or you get a whole buncha Canreefer's to help you on the day of the move. Buccaneer Steve should know!

If you do a search, you will find some of Evan's (eposer's) work. Also Steve (Buk_A_neer) built his own tank. I think there are a couple of others on this board who have done it as well, but I'm only on one cup of coffee so far this morning and I don't remember.

Heck, here are some threads to get ya started ....

You think any of these guys are interested in building another tank . Or do they just build for them selves.

If you tell me what it is you want I can help you source out the parts and when you have everything we can assemble it

EDIT : ... you might have to " volunteer " ... to help move some rock/coral/fish in about a week though as payment
