Default Has anyone made a Radion Led/T5 combo or Radion/MH

Has anyone made a Radion Led/T5 combo or Radion/MH?

im looking to add more light to my radions to really make the corals pop and cover more of my colonies with even light. Anyone have experience adding T5 or MH to radion setups?

I added T5's to my Mitras setup. Just check out my build thread.

Adding T5HO stripes will be the cheapest and most effective way IMO, you can get sunlight stripes for a great price at hydroponic stores.

I'm planning to supplement my radions with 1-2 T5 as well.

I used 4 x 48" T5's with individual reflectors powered by an IceCap 660 ballast. I just added two on either side (front and back) of my existing mitras rack and it's a nice addition. The colours are pleasing and the overall reduction in shadowed areas was noticeable.

lots of good feedback, here is what i decided to do for now:

I already had 4 36" t5ho sunblaster reflector and ballast in 1, non-dimmable, so i figure i would just get 4 more at 48" and use the same brands 7 light plastic brackets to jold them by just resting them on my radions hanging. Throw them on a timer in the middle of the day when the radions are awake and i should be good.

So i added 4x 48 (54w) and 4 x 36 (39w) = 372 Watts of T5HO

the units were 55$ and 45$ respectively + bulbs, still not bad..

all i can say is, it is BRIGHT! lol

maybe overkill... i like the look though..

photos are way easier to get with this much even light, i like this combo..
