I got my MR-1 reactors from Pets and Ponds but their supplier doesn't carry the shorty. Reef Supplies carries the MR-1 and SMR-1 but I think they are backordered.

Do you have your heart set on the Next Reefs ?
I just installed a pair of AquaFX single reactors from J&L and am very pleased with the final result. And they're much less money
No tubing or screws to play with during changes. This is why I replaced my TLF150s with them

I didn't like the flimsy mount brackets they came with so made my own

The next reefs look like they are really well built. Did you daisy chain the two reactors?

I'm running them separately
You can buy them in a dual but I prefer them independant. Both for different flow rates and servicing

I don't want to hijack the thread more than I have
If chef wants to know I'll gladly get into it, but the thread is about Next Reef

MR shorties do seem to be discontinued. Our supplier does not show them at all anymore. They are showing the MR as 2-3 days away, so we get them in late next week.
