Default vinegar solution strength

might as well give my skimmer body a cleaning while waiting for the replacement pump, wondering a good mix, 1:1 with water, 1:4 or just full strength?

depends on whats in it. I usually do 25%. Give it a bit of a once over with a brush before you soak it if its really gross but 25% should get the job done

I just use straight vinegar. I grab a few bottles from the dollar store and fill er up. Works great

I've had good success with a 50/50 mix.

All depends on how fast you want it clean. If you're really in a hurry, get muriatic acid instead.

Acid washing all vinegar is a must if you want to do it properly.

This works awesome. But remember, add the muriatic acid to the water not water to the acid. And do outdoors. Way better than vinegar

Vinegar works awesome...is cheap and far less caustic.

Plus,. you can get vinegar at any grocery store...for acid, you would need to go to a hardware store.
