![]() The truth of the matter is any tank from any builder can break, defects in the seams or material can easily be missed and as far as I know no builder has a proper testing procedure. I've always thought someone should develop a design code/standard for larger aquariums, making it a requirement for commercial and optional for residential. The standard would include a hydrotest procedure for pressure testing aquariums to a given amount beyond the design pressure, thus substantially reducing the chances of defects like this being missed.
