Default lake tanganyika, lake malawi

just wondering.........

i have a 77gal lake malawi tank and a 38 gal lake tanganyika tank
i wanted to add some flow to it (kinda like my reef tank) with some power heads. any suggestions or comments?????? thinking of a 301 for both.
i know lakes are pretty calm, but i thought that it might be a good idea to get some water movement (creek entering the lake). any thoughts? opinions? thanks in advance

I have a 301 in my tanganyika tank. I think it helps keep food and other debris floating and moving enough for the fish to grab it before it makes a mess. They seem to like it more than when the powerhead is off, swim in the open more.

Believe it or not, having more flow actually tricks your aquarium into believing that its bigger than it really is. African cichlids will not mind a good current as it keeps them active and healthy. Try a Maxijet 1200 for a good push!
