Best thing for a moon light I have ever found is an 8” (15-watt) black light. I saw this in action at a late night visit to a fellow reefers place and was very impressed.
Honestly, I find the LEDs provide too much of a spotlight effect, whereas the black light appears much more diffuse and natural over the tank. I promptly went out and bought the above noted light at an automotive supply store (pricess auto) for about $9

Patrick did you see my moon light when you were over? I went with the ice cap led strips, there bright enough to be supplemental lighting on most peoples tanks. Cost a little more but there really nice. Pm me if you wanna see them.
