Exclamation Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i just bought a favia frag tonight and put it in my tank and it has white strings comin out of it, like a mushrooms. pls help what should i do??

right before i added my coral tonight a snail crawled up my powerhead and got shreeded, could this be the reason??

It could just be from rolling around in the bag, I know one of my favias has some stringy bits hanging from it as well, its just rubbed off tissue/mucous (as far as I know). Keep it in a low flow area and check on it in the morning.

It is not unusual to have stuff like this happen when transporting or adding a new frag/coral.

This is why almost all my frags/corals are attached onto styrofoam floats to keep them from rubbing flesh against the plastic bag. Just prevents loss or injury.
