Good score tho, keep us posted on its fabulousness!
I would get his name and phone the company and report him right in front of him. I am nasty and do not put up with that kind of stuff... I would also advise his boss that he was no longer welcome to deliver packages to me and they would have to find someone else to send out.. You know they have to deliver the package to you and if they do not they have to pay for it to be replaced.

Sorry to interupt but that is one nice skimmer..

I'm sure you're right. It seems to be working fine. Nice small bubbles and thick foam. The BM's may not be the most skookum skimmers on the market, but they are reasonably well-built and definitely skim well. For $350 how can you go wrong?

they are a very good bang for your buck! they probably out perform 75% of skimmers in their price range IMO

The new skimmer has been running for 5 days now and I must say I am quite impressed with it. Here are the pros and cons I've found so far:

PROS: small footprint
inexpensive
quiet
skims well (I'm getting nearly twice as much skimmate as I was with
the Tunze)
easy to adjust water level

CONS: although easy to clean, the cup is difficult to remove: requires a good
pull; perhaps it will loosen up a little after more use
