Get a couple bottles of Hagen Cycle Christy and add it to the tank IT will help out on your tank. trust me it has worked for me in the past with my problems.

Are you guy’s familiar with Microbelifte products line?
http://www.microbelift.com/ They have some products that I believe can make the difference, check it out. This company specialized in commercial waste water treatment. They have an aquarium products line that I had good results using it. I even had friends who managed to populate the aquarium in couple of days using these products.
