Oh that's a cool process, never heard of it! That's how they can get the macro shots and still have focus depth. On macro, my camera has a very shallow depth of focus.

You can definitely still see the mouths on them and a lot of the green faces, but they did end up a little fuller than the pic on the site. I'll try to post a pic tomorrow when the lights come on for you Christy.

I have two different kinds of frogspawn. The more common one and this one which I don't see as often. This was a month or so ago when I first got it and actually believe it or not, it has colored up even more now. Its also started to really 'extend' its flesh way down the skeleton the past few weeks. One of my favs in my tank. Its never as 'bushy' as my other frogspawn but since its happier now than when I took this pic, it ids a little more 'open' and full.

Yeah yours are about the closest I've seen to that photo, although GSPs are pretty dang awesome too

Make the aperture a larger number and use a tripod and remote. This will give you a greater depth of field as well.

Also, increasing your ISO (if you have the option) will allow you to use a larger f-stop number(= smaller aperature, therefore greater depth of field) without having to slow your shutter speed too much. And then you have no reason for post production!

Default pic of frogspawn

finally.......I've been crab hunting for a 2 days. Found a couple, so that's a bonus. Here's a pic of my green and cream frogspawn from CM. Some days it's fuller than others, but I can almost always see the mouths and the green face. I'm very happy with how it looks, though maybe it's supposed to look different?
