But she's functional and stable, right? And not on the streets of the downtown eastside of Vancouver, or (pick city)? I mean, isn't that the point of all this? To raise kids to be healthy stable adults? Now that's priceless. But I don't know. I don't have kids.

Cheers,

She's independent, self supporting and working 2 jobs so she can go to mexico next month.

The other day her manager (she works for a fast growing jewellry store chain) informed her she was one of the top 100 sales employees in the country and they offered her a manager in training position.

Your right, I don't regret spending any of the money and I'm very proud of her

Money well spent I'd say. Pat yourself on the back Marie. It's very satisfying to see your child grow up to become a responsible adult. All 4 of mine worked for me at one time or another and I'm pleased to say they were all some of the best employees I've had. They've gone on to do their own things now and all are doing well, so I'll pat my own back too.

Horses has to be one of the most expensive sports/activities that a child can get into. 50 grand for a horse is nothing, that would barely get you competing on a provincial level let alone national or international

One word...

Yachting.

I had friends in high school who were into yacht racing and had their own teams or however it works.

It was out of this world…

“What are you doing this weekend Paul?”

“Probably playing Nintendo, you?”

“Going down to the Bahamas the regatta.”

“Oh.”
