I did not say religious or political did I ?
I said spiritual, two completely different things.

Believing in God/Higher power/Zero point energy has nothing to do with religion.
Religion is a method of mass control based on fear and collection of wealth, I prefer to stay away from it.
Superstition is a lack of education IMHO.

I like how this discussion is flowering, no rocks flying yet

Sorry I attribute them to being cut from the same cloth as you can't have a conversation about spirituality without religion butting its head in.

Personally, I like the sump at RDO, but I also like it staying at RDO and hope that the canreef lounge doesn't end up the same way.

Just my two cents.

There are thousands if not millions of internet forums out there. This one happened to be about reef aquariums. To think that even in the lounge a topic of religion needs to be posted is ridiculous. If you need share, that's what spamming your friends and family is for.

Just my 2cents

religion is always a touchy subject and I have found outside of academia and funnily enough seminarys.. religion cannot be talked about in a civil way. Hopefully none of my comments offended anyone....I just find it funny went people get so worked up over so silly a thing as religion or politics.

and no I don't mean YOUR religion or politics...

There are lots of unmoderated Usenet news groups out there. Most ISP's provide an NNTP server for people connect to with their newsreaders such as Outlook. Google also has a webbased interface to Usenet news: http://groups.google.com/

What's the difference between a Usenet newsgroup and a Google Group? http://groups.google.com/support/bin...461&topic=9244

Usenet is a nice place for people to post anything they wish to post without being moderated. Although, because many of its groups are unmoderated, most of the threads degrade to flame wars making Usenet newsgroups less useful than moderated forums which is why I don't use Usenet anymore. But it is an option for people who are looking for unmoderated forums.
