it isn't that hard.. that Java based chat maskes it pretty easy.. make sure it looks like this (all you have to be concerned about is the two boxes circled in red)
 just so people know I am in it all the time to keep it open.. if you stop by and no one is talking say my name if I am around the computer I will see the flashing hehe Steve
