Hay Sean here is comparison between the 2 Bulbs in question.
  There is comparison between 250 DE bulbs & 400 SE ,they were both run on Icecap ballast & non shielded. Aquaconnect has more Par in both cases Here is also comparison of AC 14K & Geissmann 20k ,AC has twice the PAR & runs bluer as well
