hey get very big.. here are a couple pics of queen conch shells (thease are not full growen.. there have been ones caught that are over 1 foot in length.
  a fighting conch stays less than 4" generaly. you can imagin the requirment for open sand bed to sustain food for a queen conch just by the size alone.. most reefers would be hard pressed to be able to properly support a queen. Steve
