J&L order delayed till Monday
J&L has lots of the cleaner shrimp but is missing a few of th eitems that I was thinking on having (emerald hermits, astrea sanils etc). They are coming in on Thurday or friday...so anybody else that wants anything has a few more days to arange it.
BTW what is the major difference between a queen conch and a fighting conch (other than size). Would a queen be OK (they don't have any fighting ones)? |
Size is the big thing (no pun intended). Queens get quite big ( I am not sure how big, but I think at least four inches) Your system might handle one, but I want to hear from others first.

hey get very big.. here are a couple pics of queen conch shells (thease are not full growen.. there have been ones caught that are over 1 foot in length.

Can't give you much advice on the conch other than I think the queens get much larger than 4".
Monday is better for me as I am off so pick up will be easier. |
Gives me more time to get things ready, so Monday is OK. My order is arranged and paid for; Ross you should have a PM with the details (let me know if you don't have it).

I have a 2" Fighting Conch and a 1" Queen Conch. Both don't seem to do much nor move around much. They just stay where they are all day and night. They seem overrated to me. So far, they haven't touched the cyno. Guess they aren't hungry.

they better to use in a tank with a sunset wrasse and niger trigger? Or they lunch too?
