Actually there's probably something funny there. If your ORP was actually 530 everything in your tank would be dead. Your water would be crystal clear though.

Ha.. figures, I read last night that probe needs several days to break in. I guess I will have to wait awhile to fugure out whats going on. My water can't be anywhere near as high as it reads, I don't even use a skimmer.

Mine took almost a month to break in before I started trusting it. Make sure you use a toothbrush on the probe at least once a week. That will give you a more accurate reading. It even takes a couple hours to adjust after using the toothbrush.

Wow, ok sensitive stuff. Where is the best place to put the probe?

I put mine in between one of the baffles in my sump. I think they said put it in a moderate flow area instead of low flow. Make sure you don't put any other probes within 6 inches of it like a pH probe or something.
