Actually there's probably something funny there. If your ORP was actually 530 everything in your tank would be dead. Your water would be crystal clear though.

Mine took almost a month to break in before I started trusting it. Make sure you use a toothbrush on the probe at least once a week. That will give you a more accurate reading. It even takes a couple hours to adjust after using the toothbrush.

I put mine in between one of the baffles in my sump. I think they said put it in a moderate flow area instead of low flow. Make sure you don't put any other probes within 6 inches of it like a pH probe or something.
