Would something like this work?

Select a theme then announce it, give people... say 2 weeks to get their entries in.
Then post them all at once and we can vote for say another 2 weeks.

I like Midknights idea....deadlines that are firm make people react! I loved the idea when it was first brought up and I think people LOVE to show off their pics of their tanks and fish but we all flounder a bit without direction and guidlelines. A poll would be good then we all have a say...
