Default 90G stand

Well this has been my 3 month project....yeah I'm slow I took all these nice pics of the build up.........and I can't seem to friggin find them ....soooooooo here is the almost completed pics
The cabniet frame is made outta 2X4's and 1/2" oak and the hood is 2X2's with 1/4" oak all the trim and rosettes are oak. Since the pics I put on 4 coats of urathane and painted the inside of the hood and cabniet white just to seal it
sorry for the size my free adobe trial expired so I don't have any photo editing

after the trim is put on

Hood before the trim is put on

After the trim

Hood open

And since I don't have "wee" arms I could fit them in around the reflector so I have the top swining open too

Lots-o-room

After the stain...turned out little darker than I wanted

Hood

I'll agree with Brad. Well thought out hood design.

Thumbs up

Wow! Does it come in a hard top version as well ? Excellent design . IMO the stain looks just right. I've found ,especially with red oak, if you too light sometimes the colour varies, beige and red. Looking forward to the completed pictures!

I've been working on my stand for my 90gal, on and off, for over 2 years! I wish I could have done what you did in 3 months good work..

I want my hood to do something similar to yours, I was considering to use a Piano hinge.
