Great clam shot!! For reef shots I personally jut use the fastest shutter speed available (sports setting for the auto setting crowd) As depth of focus is usually not an issue unless you are trying for a sense of tank depth picture, this will greatly increase the sharpness of your pic. We are talkin about reefs here so the lighting should handle the fast shutter speeds.
Just my 2.5 cents. (Got a hacksaw for Christmas, had to try it out.)
