This tank was a freshwater tank in the same spot for the last 3 1/2 years. Admittingly, when I first set it up, then, I thought the oven/stove might matter. Got lucky there cuz it actually doesn't affect it at all. Now maybe if I was cookin' a turkey in there all day long...might be different. But that ain't gonna happen.
As for the sump level...I'm gonna try a simulated power failure tomorrow before the MHs come on. Should be okay though, I think. When I first fired it up I had the water filled to the top of the middle baffle and the main tank water level was even with the bottom of the overflow grooves.
I'll tell ya, though, the auto top-off is droppin' fast. 2 1/4" in 2 days!
