Just as an update, I have installed a new bulb in my lighting. It is a 13W pc with one side 10000K and the other side actinic. The color it produces is better than the 6400k bulb it came with. I am even getting faint fluorescnce from my mushroom corals.
I will post some pictures soon.

I have replaced the clown with a bicolor blenny and it is doing great in this tank!

I am trying to chose what corals I can add to the tank. So far my zoos are doing ok and seem to be spreading despite the fact that they are a lot more pale than they were in my main tank. Mushrooms, colt, and xenia are doing great - no difference from when they were in the main tank.

At home I have some green and some purple monti digitata and some orange and some purple and some green monti caps. Would any of these keep under a 13w pc? What about a green candy cane?
If none of these are suitable options, does anyone have a suggestion for a good coral for this little tank?
Thanks,
- Chad

Oh ya, I would love to find a larger diameter fuzzy mushroom to put in if anyone has one. I can trade zoo frags or Canadian bank notes for eligable corals.

Are you for real? Your just joking right?

Anyway, do they make higher wattage mini PC's for that light? I know Panosonic has an ulta white energy saver at 26 watts that compares to a 110 watt bulb. It way brighter than any energy saver I've seen.

You could try monti caps, the worste that will happen is them fading. I had candy corals in a tank under NO lighting that lived, they didn't grow a lot though.

Danny, now you're joking right? This is an old thread that Steve brought back after he found that funny tang picture in one of my other threads. I was genuinely shocked that as a member of the FTOTM commitee you aren't familiar with my tank . Many nano reefers and diy'ers on the American boards consider this to be the finest piece of Canadian craftmanship since the Avril Arrow . This thread is really out of date, follow the links in my signature or look me up on RC (ninjafish) or Nano-reef.com (Fish) if you want to see where it's at now.
Cheers
