![]() The differnce between that and a gluelam beam was less than running a gas line for the outside BBQ. A beam of some sort had to go in at that spot anyway so it didnt change the cost much.

![]() The first hole in my wifes new home. When she saw the keyhole saw she decided to take the dogs for a walk......
![]() My little helpers trying to convince me to let them drill the holes through the floor. ![]() The plumbing on the main floor complete. Very simple and I know I could have used clear glue but I didn't really care because this area when finished will seldom be seen by anyone but me. ![]() Now heres the fun part....I had to run a temporary line to get the water to the tank. I ended up with about 30 ft of head and was using a QuietOne 9000 to do the job. Quietone...ya right. This has to be one of the noisiest pumps ever made. ![]() ![]() I also had to add a wall in the area where the plumbing entered my fish room. After adding the wall I was able to continue the plumbing. ![]() |

![]() First water entered the tank Dec 18......
![]() It took almost 2 weeks to make up the water. My 100 GPD ro/di puts out about 30 GPD. I need one of those booster pumps. Between water changes and top off it didn't seem like I was gaining much. But 140 Lbs of sand went in Dec 31. ![]() ![]() While the sand was settling I was busy on the plumbing again. The small wall is in and here is more plumbing. ![]() Here is the wife letting me know she is done waiting for me..... ![]() Water is clear again..... ![]() and here is the first rock. ![]() I had to set up a temp light to keep the everyone happy. ![]() ![]() |

![]() Been busy Colin...lol. But here we go....the problem I am having is too many projects going on at once. When I first got into this hobby everything had to done right away. Now I just cant get in a hurry.
What I am going to add now is my major experiment. Lights. ![]() ![]() This is a 6ft Solaris I4. It requires 3 power supply's that look a lot like PC power supply's. If one ever dies you can bet I will be opening it up. ![]() ![]() Its not easy taking a pic of a light that is on...... ![]() Here is the tank as it is today..... ![]() And a crappy pic of the atinics...... ![]() Scott |
