actually you would be spreading the weight over 18 square feet.again it also how the stand is constructed.i built my stand the same way a house is built,with everything at 16 " centers,including 2x4...

if you don't want to see any bracing you could router /dado the top and back of the wood and screw in heavy duty angle .it would hold the weight as the angle will push into the wall stopping the arm...

it depends on how you build your stand and where the tank will be situated.if you spread the weight across the joists you shouldn't have any problems

not at all.at room temp they will double in population every 16 hours.if you want them dormant,you can refrigerate them for a week.just don't leave them in a locked car in the middle of summer to boil

too big if you take the door off?if you're putting foam under your tank then you can just screw the top down(countersink).or if you're painting the top you can fill the holes with dynapatch and paint...

y fitting

for splitting a drain i used an abs y and glued it with abs/pvc glue.for a return i used a pvc t with a couple of 45s on the out and a 45 above the pump,both work great
