Footprints are the same so I guess it doesn't really matter that much. Lighting and flow can be made to suit for each. T5's are fine as you can set some frag racks up closer to the lights for the SPS...

It should do fine in the 90g. His tank mates are a Coral Beauty, smallish Foxface, Ruby Headed Wrasse, 2 Percs, PJ Cardinal, Yellow Watchman Goby, and two cleaner shrimp.
