if you want to try again yourself, the Neptune forums have sections dedicated to APEX networking set up and remote management. I have been putting things on networks for ever so if you have any specific questions I may be able to help.

Best thing to do by far is sign up to the Neptune forum. 99.9% of the time someone eles had the same issue and they explain how to fix it.

I have my apex on a wireless network using a "wireless gaming adapter." it was fairly straight forward to set up.
Can you post what you are trying to do and what is not working?
