Default Questions about Chalice

So I am starting to make a wish list of corals I want for my new tank. I'm really getting excited about Chalice but I am not finding a lot of online information about them, primarily scientific.

My main question has to do with their size. I've only ever seen 1" frags on a plug. How large will a Chalice get? Will it spread out or spiral up like a Monti? Will it climb the vertical or just stop?

If anyone has pics of colonies (not just a macro of one mouth) I'd really appreciate it if you could post them here! Thanks!

Funny coral chalice is. Lower light brings the best out of them. And just a pint of warning: they pack VERY long sweepers!

I just read about their sweepers and this has got me a little worried. I should make up a drawing of my proposed coral placement and aquascape, submit it on a new thread and have all you seasoned salty's critique it.

"Proposed coral placement" never works 'Cause you never know how much corals you are going to place

You should contact Hydrologist (look into member's list). He is possibly the chalice guru over here (atleast that's that I think considering the collection he has).

LoL... this is true! I just read 'Phil's 46gal Frag tank' thread and had a good laugh about how it morphed into a full on display tank!
