Default How heavy?

Does anybody know how heavy a 225gal glass (72l X 24d X 30h)aquarium weighs? I have to move one tomorrow and I'd like to know how many people to bring along!

Simon

Simon, I would imagine about 400 pounds. My 155 is 257 pounds.

I just bought a 225g from Jayson at saltwaterconnection (72x24x30 - 30 tall). It's 5/8" glass and the movers I hired to bring it from Jayson's to my place (across the city) told me it was 400-500lbs...

HTH!

Cheers,
Keith.

Width 24 in
Height 30 in
Wall Thickness 0.625 in
Tank Volume 224 gal (US)
Tank Material Weight 625 lbf

Tanks all! Looks like I'm going to need more than myself and my friend to lift it!
