Default My new Achillies

I was in Calgary a few weeks back and got a beautiful little Achillies tang from Denny at Concept. After some time in my QT she made it into the display. After numerous scraps with the yellow tang for dominance, she is now finally able to come out and swim among the other fish! And she looks amazing! Here are a couple pics

And now she's best buddies with the yellow tang!

Nice fish! Did you do anything do reduce aggression or did you just let them be? I have a scopas tang and like to get something similar.

steve, i got rid of my 6" regal tang as she was quite aggressive and i have read that tangs of the "same body shape" tend to not get along. after her stay in the QT tank, she made the move to a 5 gallon "critter keeper" type plastic container which i just clamped to the side of the tank and drilled holes in it. this is a little tip i picked up from "grippenfelter" (probably butchered the spelling) form here on the forum. she stayed in there for 2 days so i could be sure she was eating, AND so the yellow tang could get out all of his aggression on the plastic tank instead of the Achilles herself. after 2 days i let her free into the DT. the yellow tang did chase her around for a little while but i kept his attention with some nori in a veggie clip. after that, the yellow made a few more attempts to press his dominancy over the achilles but nothing too violent. after the first day, they couldnt care less about each other! and now the achilles follows the yellow around like a little puppy lol. i hope this helped. im absolutely loving this fish!
