Default skimmer question

Hi, I am thinking of putting the skimmer in the sump but because the sump is whare the water level will change between top offs will this afect the preformance of a back pack type skimmer? or does a slight tank level variation matter?

YOu will need to set up part of your sump to have a constant level of water. Other wise the skimmer will not work properly. By putting a set of baffles in you will have one part of yor sump with a constant level of H2O and it will also help get rid of any bubbles before returning the water to your tank.

I'll post a pic showing this for you inna bit.. k?
