Default What are you paying for clams these days?

Two months ago, squamosas were going for $60 a piece and now they are double that price, at minimum.

And the ones at that price are small in comparison to the ones a couple months ago. Did something happen to stocks or is it Christmas pricing?

PS. I'm looking for a nice clam at a decent price. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

the value of clams greatly depends on where they are from.
regulations within Canada are in the process of changing.
unfortunately, this will be mean a fairly drastic increase in price.
Apparently, as of February we will only be able to import Clams from Singapore and the US.
which means big increase in costs.
maybe some stores have already started to adjust their prices.

Good thing I got one of the ultra Tahitian Maximas before Xmas. They were a good price. Hate to see what they will cost after these policies are in effect.

I paid 200$ for that maxima:

40$ for this croccea:

and I recently bought another croccea much prettier for 50$.

Seem that the ultra maxima can go for quite a high price.
