Default WTB> Vortech Pumps Power supply

My old one burned out so I need to get another one.

Thought I'd try here before I go to ecotech.

Let me know what you got.

Thanks.

Didn't know it mattered, but this is for an MP10.

Thanks

Should be around $58 for a new one.

Yea, I know that. I wanted to see if anyone had an old working one lying around to save a few bucks.

Search the net for a 24 V DC, 2.5 amp switching power supply & you should find something at a more reasonable price than from EcoTech. Might have to come from across the ocean, but I'm pretty sure that's where EcoTech gets theirs. Just need to make sure the connector that goes into the controller is the same form factor & polarity. Look at the back of your current power supply & all the info is there. You could even get a larger power supply, 3 amps if you wish, but no need since that's overkill. The controller is what determines the wattage going to the pump itself.

MP20 power supply is less powerful than MP40 I think, so not compatible. While MP20 pump itself is same as 40 it is speed limited by the different controller & therefore has a smaller power supply since it doesn't draw the same amount of wattage.

actually, MP20 power supply has slightly higher amp than MP10, and using the exact same connector. MP40 power supply, has slightly larger centre pin for the plug.

Oops. Yeah, sorry, I misread the thread. I thought he needed an MP40 supply, now I see he needs a 10! My bad. Should still be able to search for something similar without going to EcoTech right away. As mentioned, the numbers you're looking for should be on the back of the power supply. And yeah, if the connector for the 20 is the same as a 10, should be good to go with that.
