My QT glass in thoroughly littered with spiral white critters that look like an @
They are too small to get pics of

Haven't found images online yet

Any ideas ?

Little feather duster or tube worms. Google feather dusters on glass should get you an image of them.

With 2 pairs of readers and a magnifying glass, I can just make out the feathers

yup feather dusters, as well as some kinds of small barnacles. my sump is loaded with the buggers, probably why my water is clean all the time :P
