Default Good working formula for DIY Rock

Just want to see what formula people had used for there rock. I'm going to use crushed oyster shells and different pastas to allow water to run throught the rock. What is a good mixing amount?

I would advise against the pasta as it will cause a world of organic problems later on as it rots. you will have no way to remove it all from the rock.
