Default Will a pleco damage my liner?

I am going to transfer my goldfish, koi, finally to my turtle pond in my basement. I have heard rumors that a pleco can actually eventually put a whole in a pond liner. Anyone else heard of this? I do not need my pond emptying into my basement. The liner is 45mil EPDM.
