Default 20K XM bulbs opinions

When I search for reviews on these bulbs I get VERY mixed opinions. Does anyone have an idea of what kind of PAR they put out? Would be Lumenbright reflectors with Coralvue dimmable ballasts. 250 watt. Currently not happy with my Reeflux 20K which in my opinion are more like a 12K. Although everything seems to grow very fast under them.

I've had most of my corals for many years and they are mostly large colonies so I don't care too much about growth but I am worried that the XM's may not even sustain them, let alone grow at all from some of the reviews I have read.

If it makes a difference, I have 20 or so Photosynthetic Gorgonians, 6-7 brain corals 3 Pocci's, one Mille and one Digitata. So this is NOT an SPS dominated tank. Tank is only 12" tall as well.

Check out this great resource for PAR readings on various lamps and ballasts:
