Default Return Pumps

I need help!! I bought a overflow from Lenny. A CPR S90. But how do I figure out what size of pump I'll need? And what's the best brand to go with??

The CPR S90 is needed to go with any pump that is running 600GPH. But counted for headloss, I would go with Eheim 1260 635GPH.

Id also look at installing some type of ball valve right after the return pump as well as on the overflow return line. That will easily let you regulate the GPH in and out of the display. This also makes a huge difference when trying to quiet the unit down. Keeping alittle bit of water in the last chamber of the CPR is the trick ive found.

So do I have to account for every 90 degree bend as a foot of head?

I had a mag 9.5 was niosy ran fine for 6 months till I moved and redid sump for external pump now I use the mag to pump water back to display from water changes I'd buy another if submersible was my only option - if you can spend the money on external much more reliable don't add heat to water
That said I went thru 3 quiet one 4000 s in 2 years steer clear Of those POS
